Horse Trainer & Riding Instructor
Kirk started getting into horses at a the young age of 7 and soon after began showing at the local level in the Hunters and Equitation divisions in southern California. Throughout the years he went to work as working student for several local trainers such as Kenny Norstrom, Bill Herring, Tommy Lowe where he earned many Hunters, Equitation and medal championships. Kirk moved to Idaho in 1988 and began ridding for Lucky 13 ranch working with the Hunters where he grew an interest for and starting working with the bigger jumpers.
Kirk really enjoyed working with the children students so he took over the lesson program back at his home town. With his students he would travel to the pacific northwest to the "AA" shows where he would show sale horses and school all his students horses earning many championships in both the Hunter and Show Jumper ring. In 2007 Kirk moved to Northern California to start a show barn and schooling program. Over the past few years he and his student attended a lot of "AA" shows where the kids thrived earning many championships in the Hunter, Equitation, medal and Jumper divisions. Kirk decided to move to South Florida in the beginning of 2010 to become closer to his family. This is when he decided to become a part of the Training and Lesson programs working with Melissa A. Landwersiek at K K Ranch! Together they have 50+ years of experience and have set goals for high achievements!

As a professional trainer and riding instructor, Melissa has solved the training needs of horse owners and has perfecting equestrians in New York and Florida. She specializes in providing horse owners with the skills they need to get the most enjoyment from their equine friend whether on the ground or under saddle.
With her lesson program she has been successful in providing her students with professional instruction and has brought them to be accomplished, confident equestrians while competing or for fun. She is an expert who focuses on the individual needs of owners and non horse owners of all ages.

In addition to
training at K K Ranch, our Trainers provide riding lessons and training on the
go as they will travel to your facility.
